My next four blog post will cover each day of my #NYFW experience and how I created each look. Most of the coats and dresses I'm wearing I pulled from a good friend/work mom closet. She was the Store Manager for BeBe in the Galleria for 16 years, with a closet full of vintage BeBe pieces. Fashion week is the time of the year where you can dress up, and be yourself without anyone judging you. I love walking down the streets of NYC being stopped by several photographers asking to take a photo of me. You just never know what big magazine or social media platform your photo will be featured in. Back in 2017 I was featured in BUZZFEED and I thought it was so cool to be apart of the NYFW best street style looks.
Day 1 In the big apple I didn't really do much. My flight was at 6:35am and I didn't sleep the night before so I was extremely tired upon arrival. I stayed at the ALIZ HOTEL located near Times Square on 8th Ave and 40th St. The hotel opened last October and is freshly new, it was a very nice hotel with a 40th floor rooftop bar. I love the set up and the decor, but the rooms were extremely small for two people.
After, check in my blogger friend and I went and grabbed food from DALLAS BBQ. A restaurant located in Times Square that are known for their frozen drinks, BBQ ribs, and chicken wings. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries which was okay, it did satisfy my hunger and made me even more sleepy. LOL! Once we finished our food, we decided to walk to Target and get some snacks for the room to save a little money from eating out everyday.
Later that night we met up with some blogger friends from Instagram to officially meet each other in person. I created this dressy chic look styling a satin ruffle skirt with a basic turtle neck and denim jacket. I completed the look by accessorizing with a black biker boy hat and my snake skin booties made my look pop. This look is perfect for a night out with your girls.
