HELLO HELLO HELLO EVERYONE,
I know it's been a minute since I've blessed you all with one of my lovely blog post, I kinda suck at managing my blog and being a manager in retail I'm learning to be more consistent. Today I'll be sharing why I took a huge break away from social media and my New York Fashion Week day one recap and the new things I learned this season.
I took a huge break away from social media this summer because I was put under a lot of stress with my current job. This pass May I took a job offer being a Area Sales Manger which was a huge promotion for me, that I thought would have been a great opportunity for me. Yes and No! Yes because I was raised to be a hustler and go getter with that being said, when I took over this position all I really seen was dollar signs and on my way to being "DEBT FREE" which is one of my short term goals for my 25th birthday. No because I pretty much don't have a life I'm literally always at work and never have time to do anything as for as accomplishing some of my career goals. Don't get me wrong I'm very thankful and grateful to have a great paying job its just extremely stressful that I can't handle sometimes. I'm really trying to get into being a merchandising brand ambassador or merchandising coordinator which will go great with my degree.
I've been attending New York Fashion Week twice a year alone since 2015 and every year I learn something new that makes me work harder. I can honestly say this year has been the best season for me so far. I was able to network and meet new people, go to different fashion show/events, had photographers stop me to take a photo of my outfits, and last but least getting featured on buzzfeed as one of the most stylish people during NYFW was the highlight of my trip. I also, seen many celebrities and big time fashion bloggers that I follow on social media which I thought was amazing. It's like a dream come true when you actually get to see someone you low key stalk or look up to on social media in person. I absolutely hate that I wasn't able to meet Rihanna in person as she launched her new make up line and her Spring/Summer fashion show that's one of my idols.
The 1st day of NYFW for me started on Sunday September 10th, I was feeling a retro 70s vibe I paired flared denim, a leather jacket, and a slogan tee together. All three are very trendy outfits right now that can literally be styled in many many many different ways. The look I created was very simple, I tied a not in the front of my tee to spice the look up a bit and accessorized with platform booties because to make it more 70s. Slogan tees has been a very popular trend this summer and will be pretty big this fall as well.
